CU Aerospace is developing specialty materials for aerospace applications. We are interested in bringing self-healing composite technologies that are being heavily pursued by the University of Illinois faculty into an aerospace market that is vast and diverse. Applications include aircraft wings, and other aerospace structures that have a need for self-diagnosing or active materials incorporated in their structures. We envision that self-healing composite materials for aerospace applications will be used on the next generation of military systems.
